Job summary

Ronald McDonald House Atlanta seeks a Facilities Coordinator to support the Facilities Manager in maintaining safe, clean, and fully operational facilities for families, guests, staff, and volunteers. This full-time, on-site role covers routine maintenance, inspections, preventive tasks, and basic repairs across two houses, with on-call duties for emergencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2-5 years of facilities or maintenance experience.
• Basic knowledge of preventive maintenance, facility inspections, minor repair methods.
• Working knowledge of hand tools, basic power tools, safe storage.
• Ability to understand work orders, safety instructions, and basic written communications.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, preventive maintenance, and basic repairs under supervision.
• Complete routine checks of guest rooms, common areas, grounds, and equipment.
• Report repair needs and document work in CMMS or designated systems.
• Assist with room readiness, furniture movement, event setups, and facility projects.
• Support vendor visits by providing access and site information; no vendor approval duties.
• Travel between assigned locations and be on call for emergencies across both houses.
• Maintain hazard-free work spaces and communicate with families, staff, volunteers, and vendors.
