Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle is seeking a Maintenance & Event Technician to support operations at Raleigh facilities. You will perform room set-ups, assist with building repairs, and coordinate with IT and Events teams to meet service levels.

The role requires hands-on maintenance experience, good English communication, and the ability to lift heavy loads and work independently or in a team. On-site position with possible after-hours duties.

Qualifications

• Experience with apartment maintenance, general construction, plumbing, painting and drywall.
• Experience troubleshooting video conferencing devices and room scheduling systems.
• Experience with warranty communications with vendors.
• Must have a valid state driver’s license.
• High school diploma or GED; 1 year building repair experience desirable.
• Ability to lift 80 lbs, climb ladders up to 30 ft, mechanical/electrical aptitude.
• Excellent English communication, both written and spoken.
• Proficient with hand tools and basic equipment (cordless drill, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Room set-ups in conference center and meeting rooms with table/chair configurations.
• Meet internal and client timelines for work orders and uptime.
• Use CMMS to document work and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Assist operations with maintenance and repair of building/equipment.
• Troubleshoot and create IT tickets for devices such as monitors and WebEx boards.
• Track inventory and locations for equipment and incidents.
• Collaborate with Events Team, IT, and shipping/receiving.
• Handle warranty communications with vendors and repairs as needed.
