Job summary

The New Orleans Tribune is seeking an Events and Meetings Manager to lead planning and execution of meetings, conventions and special events in our hospitality environment. You will act as the primary on-site contact for groups and caterers, coordinate with sales, culinary, and operations, and ensure flawless delivery while maximizing guest satisfaction and revenue opportunities.

• Minimum Education: High School Degree/GED.
• Core Competencies: Writing, reading and communicating effectively.

• Customer and Personal Service: Meet customer needs and ensure satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-site liaison for groups and catering clients throughout event lifecycle.
• Coordinate meeting room setups, catering, AV, transportation and third-party vendors.
• Maintain event records (BEOs, resumes, room assignments) in management systems.
• Communicate client expectations to hotel departments and provide coaching as needed.
• Monitor billing and ensure accurate invoicing.
• Participate in pre-conference meetings and site inspections.
