Job summary

Hilton New Orleans Airport is seeking an Event Meeting Manager to serve as the primary on-site contact for groups and planners, coordinating meetings, conventions and special events from start to finish.

You will supervise affected departments, manage BEOs and client correspondence, and ensure flawless execution while maximizing revenue opportunities. The role requires hospitality experience and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and hospitality experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills essential for client interactions.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and time-management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple events, budgets, and timelines effectively.
• Experience in delivering high levels of customer service and guest satisfaction.
• Proficient in calculating event details and handling complex logistics.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision to departments during meetings, conferences, and special events.
• Serve as on-site primary contact for groups and caterers, maintaining proactive communication.
• Organize daily responsibilities with clear plans, timelines, and goals.
• Maintain professional communication with clients via phone, email, and in person.
• Utilize hotel systems and booking platforms to manage events and client records.
• Build client relationships and drive revenue opportunities through service excellence.
• Address guest concerns promptly and coordinate with hotel departments to resolve issues.
• Support sales efforts by identifying opportunities to upsell services.
• Coordinate room setups, F&B requirements, AV needs, transportation, and vendor services.
• Ensure accurate invoicing, billing accuracy, and reconciliation of event charges.
• Ensure compliance with brand standards and safety policies.
• Attend required meetings and participate in special projects as needed.
• Maintain regular attendance and dependable performance.
