Job summary

The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary seeks an Event Assistant to serve as the primary contact during campus events, delivering courteous customer service to clients and providing information for service areas.

The role involves arranging catering setup, light housekeeping, signage, and event coordination, while maintaining clean storage areas and a professional appearance. On-site work includes outdoor event support and walking/ lifting as needed.

Qualifications

• The candidate must have a high school diploma.
• Customer service experience is required; event planning experience is highly desired.
• College experience is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a resource during events to ensure client satisfaction and resolve issues.
• Provide beverage, snack, lunch and dinner service setup when applicable.
• Provide light housekeeping assistance and maintain organized storage areas.
• Create and place event signage prior to events.
• Assist with event coordination as needed.
• Monitor venue for cleanliness and temperature control.
• Maintain professional appearance and nametag when interacting with guests.
• Take initiative by anticipating guest needs and exceeding expectations.
