Job summary

LBA Hospitality seeks an experienced Event Manager to oversee venue and meeting room setups, and welcome clients during events. The role requires coordinating with banquet staff, sales, and operations to ensure flawless events.

Responsibilities include sending collateral, following up with clients, attending tastings, and managing event diagrams and deposits. The position emphasizes hospitality, upselling, and strong organizational skills within a hotel setting.

Qualifications

• One year catering and/or event management experience and/or previous hotel operations experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; College Degree (BS/BA) preferred or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Sales on inside sales for properties with event space.
• Send catering collateral and menus; record activities in sales system and follow up with clients.
• Answer inquiries via phone, website, and leads for all event space.
• Coordinate with Maintenance for preventive maintenance issues on event space.
• Conduct weekly Banquet Event Order Meetings for BEO review with hotel staff.
• Work with F&B staff on customized menu options.
• Create and maintain a preferred vendor list for ancillary services.
• Review banquet checks for accuracy; post and reconcile event charges.
• Attend menu tastings and manage post-agreement banquet details.
• Conduct site inspections for event space and rooms as needed.
• Serve as point of contact for pre-con and post-con meetings.
• Coordinate guest requests with operations personnel.
• Generate Banquet Event Orders and diagrams; report changes to events.
• Obtain function guarantees from customers per SOP and ensure deposits/payments are satisfied.
