On-Site EPC Project Engineer – Solar Plants

Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an EPC Project Engineer for a full-time, on-site role in Irrigon, OR. You will support the jobsite team, coordinate project deliverables, and drive profitability and schedule goals while maintaining strong safety practices.

Responsibilities include supervising equipment, performing basic testing and maintenance, and preparing reports. The role requires travel up to 10% and on-call readiness as needed, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent; vocational/technical training a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a mechanical/electrical environment.
• Understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Identify and perform Lock Out/Tag Out of energized parts/systems.
• Basic understanding of solar installation/plant.
• Basic knowledge of testing equipment.
• Basic computer operation skills.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Obtain NFPA 70e Safety Training certification.
• Remain current in safety and technical trainings.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work at remote locations in extreme weather.
• On-call availability (weekends/after-hours).
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% for training/site coverage.

Responsibilities

• Stresses safety as the top priority; ensure safe practices on site.
• Work safely; seek guidance for unfamiliar tasks to ensure safety.
• Operate and care for company property, equipment, and tooling.
• Service solar equipment in multiple plants under supervision.
• Perform basic testing, troubleshooting and maintenance under supervision.
• Replace or repair solar parts/equipment under supervision.
• Respond on-call as directed by supervisor for emergency repairs.
• Prepare accurate documentation and required reports of work performed.
• Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
• Suggest process improvements and coordinate with EPC management on improvements.
