Job summary

Black Construction, a Tutor Perini Company, seeks an Environmental Specialist in Guam to apply environmental engineering principles on active projects, modify, test and operate remediation equipment, and support development of remediation devices under the Environmental Manager.

You will review project reports, document erosion control performance, install and monitor silt fences and barriers, ensure compliance with permits, and maintain logs, reports and summaries reflecting results.

Qualifications

• High School diploma with two years of training in erosion control, biological monitoring, or natural resources.
• Experience with erosion control measures and environmental compliance expectations.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Study project environmental reports and specifications to stay informed.
• Document performance of erosion and sediment control practices and waste disposal weights.
• Install, inspect, monitor, and repair environmental controls like silt fences and sandbags.
• Monitor deliveries for pests or hazards and ensure proper handling of materials.
• Coordinate with Environmental Manager and maintain project logs and records.
• Prepare written reports and summaries reflecting results and compliance.
