GUAM-ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGER (Regular Full Time)
Location: HDCC Guam LLC
The Environmental Manager implements environmental key concepts and maintains documentation to complete all environmental reporting in a timely manner and ensures ongoing environmental compliance.
Primary Functions & Responsibilities
- Implement and manage Hazardous Waste Program requirements.
- Implement Environmental Protection Plan (EPP).
- Ensure Storm Water Program is enforced.
- Ensure Contractor personnel are trained in 40 CFR accordance with their position.
- Conduct environmental protection/pollution control meetings for personnel prior to commencing construction activities.
- Maintain the Environmental Records Binder, Employee Training Records and required documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, occupational safety or related discipline.
- 3-5 years experience demonstrating knowledge of safety/environmental principles and techniques.
- Familiarization with statutory and contractual pollution standards.
- Recognition and protection of archaeological sites, artifacts, waters of the US, and endangered species and their habitat in the area.
- Able to identify anticipated hazardous or toxic chemicals or wastes, other regulated contaminants.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written; computer literate and capable of using MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
