Job summary

Black Construction Corporation in Guam is seeking a Project Manager to lead multi-discipline projects, coordinating schedules, budgets and resources while communicating with contractors, designers and owners to keep costs and timelines on track.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Engineering or Construction Management, a US Professional Project Engineer license, 15+ years in construction and PM experience on $30M+ commercial or heavy civil projects; familiarity with Design-Build and MACC

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a similar program from an accredited institution.
Professional Project Engineer license (USPE)
Fifteen (15) or more years of related construction experience.
Five (5) years experience as a project manager on commercial building or heavy civil projects valued at $30M or more.
Good judgment in addressing technical issues and effectively managing and leading a team.
Ability to organize and collaborate on efforts to resolve problems or issues promptly.
Intermediate knowledge/proficiency of MS Office Suite.
Experience with Primavera P6, Procore and HCSS is preferred.

Responsibilities

Coordinate schedules, budgets, and resources and communicating directly with contractors, designers and owners concerning project cost, staffing, and scheduling.
Supervisory responsibilities include training and mentoring employees; planning, assigning, delegating and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and resolving employee issues.
Manage the whole project. PM can manage other projects as may be required to for other specific task orders.
Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within corporate policy and contracting agreements.
Initiate and maintain liaison with owners, designers, regulatory agencies, and project partners to facilitate construction activities in accordance with schedules and budgets.
Monitor/control construction through administrative direction of on-site Superintendent to ensure project is built in accordance with plans and specifications, schedule and project budget.
Incorporate Project Execution Plans, Health and Safety Plans, QA/QC Plans, and other documents as required.
Manage financial aspects of contracts to protect company's interest and maintain good client relationships.
