Amphibious Medics in Manassas, VA, seeks an On-Site EMT/Paramedic to serve as a construction site medical representative. You will provide triage, first aid, and emergency care while coordinating with safety teams and outside providers.

The role requires EMT-B certification, CPR/BLS, OSHA familiarity, and experience on large construction sites. You will support health & wellness initiatives and help manage workers' compensation processes on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a valid National Registry or State EMT-B Certification
• CPR certification at the BLS for Healthcare Providers level or Professional Rescuer training
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience with OSHA regulations (29 CFR 1910)
• Experience on large-scale construction sites
• Experience with workers’ compensation processes
• Instructor certification for First Aid, CPR, and AED training
• Active OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 card

Responsabilités

• Provide triage, first aid, and referral to outside medical providers as needed
• Remain calm in emergencies and make rapid, sound decisions including CPR and emergency care
• Maintain medical records and a site records database
• Maintain on-site inventory, restock supplies, clean equipment
• Communicate with outside medical providers on injury progression and follow-up
• Provide daily logs to safety/management teams
• Conduct site walks to engage workers and managers
• Coordinate on-site health fairs (annual/semi-annual/quarterly)
• Participate in medical and safety meetings with construction workers

The On-Site EMT/Paramedic serves as aconstruction site medical representative, working closely withconstruction site Health and Safety management teams to provide a safework environment for construction site workers. This includes workingin a first aid capacity for injured workers, analyzing tasks forpotential safety hazards, implementing and participating in a siteHealth & Wellness program, and participating in the workers'compensation process.

WhatYou Will Do:

• Provide triage, first aid, and/or referral to an outside medicalprovider if indicated.
  


• Be calm in emergencies, assess situations, make sound decisions, and respond swiftly and appropriately, including providing first aid, CPR, and other emergency medical care within the scope of the position.
  


• Maintain medical records and medical records database for the site
  


• Maintain on-site inventory supplies, restock, and clean equipment usedin the treatment of employees
  


• Communicate with outside medical providers on workers’ injury/healingprogression and provide direct follow-up care with workers
  


• Provide daily activity logs to the safety team and management team
  


• Perform frequent “site walks” to interact with both workers and managers
  


• Help coordinate an annual, semi-annual, or quarterly on-site health fair
  


• Participate in frequent medical and safety awareness meetings withconstruction workers
  

Requirements

Qualifications:

• One year of full-time experience in 911 emergency medical response
  


• Proficient in Microsoft Office
  


• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, navigate an active job site including stairs, and carry required medical equipment weighing up to 35 lbs.
  


• Must also be physically capable of responding to medical emergencies, including providing CPR and assisting with or supporting the movement of an injured or incapacitated individual when necessary.
  

Education/Certification:

• Minimum of a valid National Registry or State EMT-B Certification
  


• Valid CPR certification at the Basic Life Support for HealthcareProvider level (American Heart Association) or Professional Rescuer(American Red Cross)
  


• High School Diploma or equivalent
  


• Experience working with OSHA regulations, specifically in 29 CFR 1910
  


• Experience working on large-scale construction sites
  


• Experience with the workers’ compensation claim process
  


• Instructor certification for First Aid, CPR, and AED training
  


• An active OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 card
