Job summary

Qualifications

• One year of full-time experience in 911 emergency medical response.
• CPR certification at Basic Life Support level or higher.
• Experience with OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910.
• Experience working on large construction sites and with workers’ comp process.

Responsibilities

• Provide triage, first aid, and referral to external providers when indicated.
• Remain calm in emergencies, assess situations, and respond swiftly with CPR and EMS care.
• Maintain medical records and the on-site medical records database.
• Maintain on-site inventory of medical supplies; restock and clean equipment.
• Communicate with outside medical providers on injury progression and follow-up care.
• Provide daily activity logs to safety and management teams.
• Conduct site walks and interact with workers and managers.
• Assist in coordinating on-site health fairs and safety meetings.

The On-Site EMT/Paramedic serves as aconstruction site medical representative, working closely withconstruction site Health and Safety management teams to provide a safework environment for construction site workers. This includes workingin a first aid capacity for injured workers, analyzing tasks forpotential safety hazards, implementing and participating in a siteHealth & Wellness program, and participating in the workers'compensation process.

WhatYou Will Do:

• Provide triage, first aid, and/or referral to an outside medical provider if indicated
• Be calm in emergencies, assess situations, make sound decisions, and respond swiftly and appropriately, including providing first aid, CPR, and other emergency medical care within the scope of the position.
• Maintain medical records and medical records database for the site
• Maintain on-site inventory supplies, restock, and clean equipment used in the treatment of employees
• Communicate with outside medical providers on workers’ injury/healing progression and provide direct follow-up care with workers
• Provide daily activity logs to the safety team and management team
• Perform frequent “site walks” to interact with both workers and managers
• Help coordinate an annual, semi-annual, or quarterly on-site health fair
• Participate in frequent medical and safety awareness meetings with construction workers

Requirements

Qualifications:

• One year of full-time experience in 911 emergency medical response
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, navigate an active job site including stairs, and carry required medical equipment weighing up to 35 lbs.
• Must also be physically capable of responding to medical emergencies, including providing CPR and assisting with or supporting the movement of an injured or incapacitated individual when necessary.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office

Education/Certification:

• Minimum of a valid National Registry or State EMT-B Certification
• Valid CPR certification at the Basic Life Support for HealthcareProvider level (American Heart Association) or Professional Rescuer(American Red Cross)
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with OSHA regulations, specifically in 29 CFR 1910
• Experience working on large-scale construction sites
• Experience with the workers’ compensation claim process
• Instructor certification for First Aid, CPR, and AED training
• An active OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 card
