Job summary

Amphibious Medics in Franklin, TN is seeking an On-Site EMT/Paramedic to serve as the construction site medical representative, providing first aid, triage, and health and safety support to workers.

The role requires at least one year of full-time EMS experience, OSHA familiarity, CPR/BLS certification, and the ability to operate on active construction sites. You will work closely with site safety teams to maintain records and coordinate health programs.

Qualifications

• One year of full-time experience in 911 emergency medical response.
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods on an active job site and carry up to 35 lbs of equipment.
• Capable of responding to medical emergencies, including CPR and assisting with or supporting movement of an injured person when necessary.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Triage, provide first aid, and refer to outside medical providers when indicated.
• Be calm in emergencies, assess situations, and respond swiftly and appropriately, including CPR within scope.
• Maintain medical records and the site medical records database.
• Maintain on-site inventory of medical supplies and clean equipment used in treatment.
• Communicate with outside medical providers on injury progression and provide follow-up care.
• Provide daily activity logs to safety and management teams.

The On-Site EMT/Paramedic serves as aconstruction site medical representative, working closely withconstruction site Health and Safety management teams to provide a safework environment for construction site workers. This includes workingin a first aid capacity for injured workers, analyzing tasks forpotential safety hazards, implementing and participating in a siteHealth & Wellness program, and participating in the workers'compensation process.

WhatYou Will Do:

• Provide triage, first aid, and/or referral to an outside medicalprovider if indicated
• Be calm in emergencies, assess situations, make sound decisions, and respond swiftly and appropriately, including providing first aid, CPR, and other emergency medical care within the scope of the position.
• Maintain medical records and medical records database for the site
• Maintain on-site inventory supplies, restock, and clean equipment usedin the treatment of employees
• Communicate with outside medical providers on workers’ injury/healingprogression and provide direct follow-up care with workers
• Provide daily activity logs to the safety team and management team
• Perform frequent “site walks” to interact with both workers and managers
• Help coordinate an annual, semi-annual, or quarterly on-site health fair
• Participate in frequent medical and safety awareness meetings withconstruction workers

Qualifications:

• One year of full-time experience in 911 emergency medical response
  
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, navigate an active job site including stairs, and carry required medical equipment weighing up to 35 lbs.
  
• Must also be physically capable of responding to medical emergencies, including providing CPR and assisting with or supporting the movement of an injured or incapacitated individual when necessary.
  
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
  

Education/Certification:

• Minimum of a valid National Registry or State EMT-B Certification
• Valid CPR certification at the Basic Life Support for HealthcareProvider level (American Heart Association) or Professional Rescuer(American Red Cross)
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with OSHA regulations, specifically in 29 CFR 1910
• Experience working on large-scale construction sites
• Experience with the workers’ compensation claim process
• Instructor certification for First Aid, CPR, and AED training
• An active OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 card
