Job summary

Amphibious Medics is seeking an On-Site EMT/Paramedic to serve as the construction site medical representative. You will work with Health and Safety teams to provide a safe workspace, deliver first aid, CPR, and emergency care within scope, and coordinate with workers’ compensation processes.

Responsibilities include triage, record-keeping, equipment maintenance, communications with external medical providers, and participating in site health fairs and safety meetings.

Qualifications

• One year of full-time experience in 911 emergency medical response.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Physically capable of walking/standing for extended periods and moving equipment up to 35 lbs.
• CPR and first aid knowledge.

The On-Site EMT/Paramedic serves as aconstruction site medical representative, working closely withconstruction site Health and Safety management teams to provide a safework environment for construction site workers. This includes workingin a first aid capacity for injured workers, analyzing tasks forpotential safety hazards, implementing and participating in a siteHealth & Wellness program, and participating in the workers'compensation process.

What You Will Do:

• Provide triage, first aid, and/or referral to an outside medical provider if indicated.
  
• Be calm in emergencies, assess situations, make sound decisions, and respond swiftly and appropriately, including providing first aid, CPR, and other emergency medical care within the scope of the position.
  
• Maintain medical records and medical records database for the site
  
• Maintain on-site inventory supplies, restock, and clean equipment used in the treatment of employees
  
• Communicate with outside medical providers on workers’ injury/healing progression and provide direct follow-up care with workers
  
• Provide daily activity logs to the safety team and management team
  
• Perform frequent “site walks” to interact with both workers and managers
  
• Help coordinate an annual, semi-annual, or quarterly on-site health fair
  
• Participate in frequent medical and safety awareness meetings with construction workers
  

Requirements

Qualifications:

• One year of full-time experience in 911 emergency medical response
  
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
  
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, navigate an active job site including stairs, and carry required medical equipment weighing up to 35 lbs.
  
• Must also be physically capable of responding to medical emergencies, including providing CPR and assisting with or supporting the movement of an injured or incapacitated individual when necessary.
  

Education/Certification:

Minimum of a valid National Registry or State EMT-B Certification

Valid CPR certification at the Basic Life Support for HealthcareProvider level (American Heart Association) or Professional Rescuer(American Red Cross)

High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience working with OSHA regulations, specifically in 29 CFR 1910

Experience working on large-scale construction sites

Experience with the workers’ compensation claim process

Instructor certification for First Aid, CPR, and AED training

An active OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 card
