Job summary

Amphibious Medics in Garland, TX, is seeking an On-Site EMT/Paramedic to serve as construction site medical representative. You will provide triage, first aid, and rapid referrals, while coordinating with safety teams to keep workers healthy and safe.

You will maintain medical records, manage on-site supplies, and participate in health fairs and safety meetings, contributing to a robust site health program and compliant medical operations on demanding construction projects.

Qualifications

• Valid National Registry or State EMT-B certification.
• CPR certification at BLS level (American Heart Association) or Professional Rescuer.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910.
• Experience on large-scale construction sites.
• Experience with workers’ compensation claim process.
• Instructor certification for First Aid, CPR, and AED training.
• Active OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 card.

Responsibilities

• Provide triage, first aid, and referral to outside medical providers as indicated.
• Remain calm in emergencies, assess situations, and respond swiftly with appropriate care.
• Maintain medical records and the site medical records database.
• Maintain on-site inventory and clean equipment used in treatment.
• Communicate with outside medical providers on injuries and healing progression.
• Provide daily activity logs to safety and management teams.
• Conduct site walks to interact with workers and managers.

The On-Site EMT/Paramedic serves as aconstruction site medical representative, working closely withconstruction site Health and Safety management teams to provide a safework environment for construction site workers. This includes workingin a first aid capacity for injured workers, analyzing tasks forpotential safety hazards, implementing and participating in a siteHealth & Wellness program, and participating in the workers'compensation process.

What You Will Do:

• Provide triage, first aid, and/or referral to an outside medicalprovider if indicated
• Be calm in emergencies, assess situations, make sound decisions, and respond swiftly and appropriately, including providing first aid, CPR, and other emergency medical care within the scope of the position.
• Maintain medical records and medical records database for the site
• Maintain on-site inventory supplies, restock, and clean equipment usedin the treatment of employees
• Communicate with outside medical providers on workers’ injury/healingprogression and provide direct follow-up care with workers
• Provide daily activity logs to the safety team and management team
• Perform frequent “site walks” to interact with both workers and managers
• Help coordinate an annual, semi-annual, or quarterly on-site health fair
• Participate in frequent medical and safety awareness meetings withconstruction workers

Requirements

Qualifications:

• One year of full-time experience in 911 emergency medical response
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, navigate an active job site including stairs, and carry required medical equipment weighing up to 35 lbs.
• Must also be physically capable of responding to medical emergencies, including providing CPR and assisting with or supporting the movement of an injured or incapacitated individual when necessary.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office

Education/Certification:

• Minimum of a valid National Registry or State EMT-B Certification
• Valid CPR certification at the Basic Life Support for HealthcareProvider level (American Heart Association) or Professional Rescuer(American Red Cross)
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with OSHA regulations, specifically in 29 CFR 1910
• Experience working on large-scale construction sites
• Experience with the workers’ compensation claim process
• Instructor certification for First Aid, CPR, and AED training
• An active OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 card
