Job summary

Revive seeks an On-Site Counselor to support participants' emotional well-being through individual consultations and short-term problem resolution, with occasional group sessions and event management.

The role involves assessing psychosocial needs, providing referrals to EAP, mental health services, and employer-sponsored benefits, and following up to ensure successful connections within Revive's program and client objectives.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a behavioral health field is required.
• Maintain an independent clinical license in Virginia.
• Pass federal security clearance.
• At least two years of experience with alcoholism and substance use disorders.
• At least three years of experience in assessment and counseling.
• Experience facilitating group discussions and trainings up to 25 participants.

Responsibilities

• Conducts individual assessment using evidence-based tools and supportive sessions to teach coping skills and provide psychosocial education.
• Plan and facilitate onsite seminars and small group discussions to support emotional, social, career, work engagement and mental well-being.
• Provide referrals and recommendations and ensure successful connection with resources (EAP, health plan, community resources).
• Maintains accurate, current documentation in a customized database.
• Participates in survey data gathering and outcomes assessment.
• Conducts consultation and support services to leaders and managers on workplace concerns.
• Contribute towards a culture of well-being by advancing ideas and content.
• Represents Revive and supports client objectives and program goals.
• Periodically visit local facilities to review staff qualifications and policies.
• Write and edit mental health-related articles, presentations.
