Job summary

Arc is electrifying the marine industry, hiring an Electrical Engineer to design electric and hybrid propulsion systems for port operations. The role is based on-site in Torrance, CA, reporting to the head of commercial systems.

You will translate architectures into manufacturable hardware, own panel layouts and IO, and prepare data packages for production. You will also weld hands-on wiring and testing of high- and low-voltage systems, support sea trials, and collaborate with suppliers and

Qualifications

2+ years as Electrical/Automation Engineer or similar role.
Strong fundamentals in control panel design and low voltage distribution.
Experience with industrial automation and networking hardware.
Familiarity with Ethernet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus, CAN protocols.
Hands-on wiring, testing, and debugging of electrical panels.

Responsibilities

Translate high-level architectures into detailed hardware definitions and panel layouts.
Own IO allocation, schematics, and 2D/3D panel layouts.
Create manufacturing data packages including BOMs and wire lists.
Build and troubleshoot high and low voltage systems; run bench tests.
Support sea trials and interface with suppliers and shipyards; travel 5–10%.
