Job summary

Cupertino Electric, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager to lead day-to-day operations of electrical construction projects in Santa Fe Springs, CA.

The role oversees planning, execution, and financial performance, working with a strong team to meet safety, quality, and schedule targets. You will manage cost control, forecasting, change orders, and subcontractor coordination while maintaining alignment with CEI’s values.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience managing Electrical Construction on Commercial or Industrial Projects.
• 5+ years of management experience, including client interface and supervision.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, supervisory and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the financial performance of the assigned project or project scopes, including cost control and forecasting.
• Coordinate and lead planning meetings with Superintendents, General Foremen, and Project Engineers.
• Review estimates, drawings, and specs to understand scope and schedule requirements.
• Develop and maintain accurate monthly job cost updates and cost-to-complete assessments.
• Create, review, negotiate and approve change orders with clients and vendors.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise activities of company crews and subcontractors.
• Identify risks related to design gaps, scope conflicts, procurement delays, and schedule constraints.
• Maintain a risk register and conduct regular risk review meetings.
• Monitor leading indicators to anticipate challenges and prevent delays.
• Resolve technical challenges promptly to avoid schedule impacts.
