Job summary

EC Electric is seeking an EHS Professional for an on-site role in Coweta, Oklahoma. You will design and implement safety, health, and environmental programs, ensuring regulatory compliance and risk reduction across sites.

The role emphasizes training, audits, incident investigations, and collaboration with project teams. Requirements include a BA/BS or AA/AS in safety-related fields and OSHA 30 or equivalent certification, with BCSP/IHMM credentials preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in Safety Management, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
• At least two years of related safety experience or training.
• Completion of an accredited EHS Apprentice program.
• Possession of or ability to obtain and maintain a valid Oregon driver license.
• OSHA 30 in construction or equivalent certification.
• First Aid, CPR and AED certification preferred.
• BCSP or IHMM certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participates in achieving the goals of the safety organization.
• Plans, implements and coordinates safety programs and procedures.
• Keeps current with changes in regulations and implements them.
• Collaborates with site safety staff for consistency across sites.
• Mentors the development of technical safety skills among employees.
• Executes the safety plan and mentors staff to achieve it.
• Conducts or coordinates safety training for employees.
• Maintains site training matrices for required trainings.
• Investigates incidents and ensures timely reporting.
• Leads risk/hazard assessments and implements corrective actions.
• Focus on ergonomic initiatives to reduce musculoskeletal risks.
• Develops EHSP for new projects and identifies hazards.
• Communicates health and safety goals and metrics to sites.
• Provides guidance on personal injuries and risk reduction.
• Performs safety audits of facilities, machinery, and equipment.
• Distributes weekly audit recaps and manages safety inventory.
• Analyzes data to set safety priorities and action plans.
• Represents EC to clients and project teams on safety matters.
