Job summary

Certified Site Safety of NY LLC is seeking a qualified Environmental Health & Safety Officer (EHSO) to support mechanical and infrastructure construction projects throughout the NYC area. This role ensures field activities comply with contract requirements and regulatory standards, serving as the on-site safety authority and maintaining documentation for compliance and project performance.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene required.
Minimum 2+ years of environmental health and safety compliance NYC DEP/BEDC project experience preferred.
Professional Certification (Required): CSP, CIH, or CHST.

Responsibilities

Field Oversight: daily site inspections for contractor safety compliance and specs.
Reporting & Documentation: prepare Daily Inspection Reports (DIRs) with workforce, work performed, and quantities for payment verification.
Financial Oversight: review Time & Material records for cost transparency.
Project Tracking: monitor progress using e-Builder or similar systems.
Stakeholder Coordination: liaison between project owners, contractors, utilities, and regulators.
Safety Leadership: enforce site safety requirements and environmental regulations to promote zero-incident culture.
