Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Safety, Health & Environmental Manager for an onsite role based in Brooklyn, NY. This position oversees EHS plans, staff, training, and reporting to ensure construction activities meet safety, health, and environmental requirements.

Ideal candidates hold a BA/BS with 8 years of relevant experience, ASP or CHST certification, and a valid U.S. driver's license. Preferred credentials include CSP/CIH and NYCDEP experience; relocation not offered.

Qualifications

• BA/BS with 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• ASP or CHST Certification required or preferred.
• U.S. Driver License required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision, leadership, and mentorship to assigned personnel, including performance evaluations and professional development.
• Oversee staffing, workload, and coverage to ensure project success.
• Ensure implementation of EHS Management Plans and EHASP on site.
• Supervise and manage onsite EHS staff and coordinate with client operations.
• Support Job Hazard Analyses and CM staff training, including orientations and Emergency Action Plan training.
• Review EHS submittals, plans, and incident reports for adequacy and compliance.
• Lead weekly EHS meetings and conduct site visits to monitor contractor performance.
• Prepare monthly EHS reports and trend analyses; oversee EAP drills.
