Job summary

HazTek Safety Management is seeking an experienced EHS Coordinator in Austin, TX to lead safety programs on the floor. You will drive OSHA compliance, hazard identification, training, and a safety culture directly on the manufacturing line.

The role requires 3+ years in industrial settings, OSHA 30, forklift certs, and strong knowledge of RCRA/EPA/TCEQ regulations. NFPA 70e preferred, with HazTek values guiding daily actions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or field operations environment.
• Electrical experience required; familiarity with lithium-ion battery storage systems or NFPA 855 is a plus.
• OSHA 30 certification required.
• Forklift certification required.
• NFPA 70e is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910 and 1926, RCRA hazardous waste requirements, and EPA/TCEQ regulations.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the project ensuring OSHA compliance.
• Identify hazards, coach safe behaviors, deliver training, and build a safety culture that works on the line, not just on paper.
• Respond to EHS incidents and emergencies: activate procedures, collect preliminary findings, and support root cause investigations.
• Manage the full RCRA hazardous waste program storage, labeling, satellite accumulation, drum logs, and coordination with disposal contractors.
• Conduct daily safety meetings and audits.
• Ensure all personnel wear their personal protective equipment (PPE).
