Job summary

HazTek Safety Management is seeking an experienced EHS Coordinator to join our Austin, TX team on the floor and in the field, driving a safety program that protects people and operations.

Responsibilities include overseeing OSHA compliance, coaching safe behaviors, delivering training, managing RCRA hazardous waste programs, and conducting daily safety meetings. Strong OSHA, NFPA, EPA/TCEQ knowledge is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in manufacturing/industrial or field operations.
• Electrical experience required; familiarity with Li-ion storage or NFPA 855 is a plus.
• OSHA 30 certification required; forklift certification required.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910/1926 and RCRA/haz waste regulations.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• NFPA 70e is highly preferred.

HazTek is hiring an experienced EHS Coordinator in Austin, TX to be at the center of a safety program! You'll be on the floor, in the field, and deep in the compliance work that keeps our people safe and our operations running.

• Oversee all aspects of the project ensuring OSHA compliance
• Identify hazards, coach safe behaviors, deliver training, and build a safety culture that works on the line, not just on paper
• Respond to EHS incidents and emergencies: activate procedures, collect preliminary findings, and support root cause investigations
• Manage the full RCRA hazardous waste program storage, labeling, satellite accumulation, drum logs, and coordination with disposal contractors
• Conduct daily safety meetings and audits
• Ensure all personnel wear their personal protective equipment (PPE)

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or field operations environment required
• Electrical experience required; familiarity with lithium-ion battery storage systems or NFPA 855 is a plus
• OSHA 30 certification required
• Fortlift certification required
• NFPA 70e is highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910 and 1926, RCRA hazardous waste requirements, and EPA/TCEQ regulations
• Excellent verbal and written skills
