Job summary

HazTek Safety Management, based in Austin, TX, seeks an experienced Safety Specialist to back electrical construction projects, ensure OSHA compliance, and strengthen the safety culture across teams.

The role requires 5+ years in safety, NFPA 70e, OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, and experience with energy isolation and contractor LOTO. Local travel only; data center or similar environments are a plus.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of direct safety experience in electrical construction required.
  • NFPA 70e certification required.
  • OSHA 30 and First Aid/CPR certified.
  • Bachelor's degree in a safety-related field preferred.
  • Experience with data center builds or similar environments.
  • Experience driving assurance around energy isolation and contractor LOTO compliance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

HazTek is looking for an experienced Safety Specialist near Austin, TX. Help support specific project needs and ensure that best practices are implemented, safety compliance requirements are met, and an improved safety culture and performance is delivered.



  • Oversee all aspects of a complex electricalstructures and construction project ensuring OSHA compliance

  • Proven ability to interact with teams and implement improvements

  • Attend safety department and management meetings, training workshops, and daily activity briefings

  • Ensures process is established that verifies qualifications, training, and PPE of personnel performing the work.


Qualifications


  • Minimum 5+ years of direct safety experience in electrical construction required

  • NFPA 70e certification required

  • OSHA 30 and First Aid/CPR certified

  • Bachelor's degree in a safety related field preferred

  • Experience working a data center build, or similar environment
