Job summary

HazTek Safety Management is seeking an experienced EHS Coordinator in Austin, TX to champion a safety program on the floor and in compliance activities that keep people safe and operations running.

The role involves overseeing OSHA compliance, hazard identification, safety training, incident response, and RCRA hazardous waste management. You will lead daily safety meetings, audits, and PPE enforcement in a full-time on-site capacity.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in manufacturing, industrial, or field operations environment.
  • Electrical experience; familiarity with lithium-ion battery storage systems or NFPA 855 is a plus.
  • OSHA 30 certification required.
  • Forklift certification required.
  • NFPA 70e is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910/1926, RCRA hazardous waste and EPA/TCEQ regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.

Job description

HazTek is hiring an experienced EHS Coordinator in Austin, TX to be at the center of a safety program! You'll be on the floor, in the field, and deep in the compliance work that keeps our people safe and our operations running.

  • Oversee all aspects of the project ensuring OSHA compliance
  • Identify hazards, coach safe behaviors, deliver training, and build a safety culture that works on the line, not just on paper
  • Respond to EHS incidents and emergencies: activate procedures, collect preliminary findings, and support root cause investigations
  • Manage the full RCRA hazardous waste program storage, labeling, satellite accumulation, drum logs, and coordination with disposal contractors
  • Conduct daily safety meetings and audits
  • Ensure all personnel wear their personal protective equipment (PPE)
Qualifications
