Job summary

HazTek Safety Management is seeking an experienced EHS Coordinator to join our Austin, TX team on the floor and in the field, driving a safety program that protects people and operations.

Responsibilities include overseeing OSHA compliance, coaching safe behaviors, delivering training, managing RCRA hazardous waste programs, and conducting daily safety meetings. Strong OSHA, NFPA, EPA/TCEQ knowledge is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in manufacturing/industrial or field operations.
• Electrical experience required; familiarity with Li-ion storage or NFPA 855 is a plus.
• OSHA 30 certification required; forklift certification required.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910/1926 and RCRA/haz waste regulations.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• NFPA 70e is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the project ensuring OSHA compliance
• Identify hazards, coach safe behaviors, deliver training, and build a safety culture
• Respond to EHS incidents and emergencies and support root cause investigations
• Manage the full RCRA hazardous waste program storage, labeling, drum logs, and coordination with disposal contractors
• Conduct daily safety meetings and audits
• Ensure all personnel wear PPE
