Job summary

Vertiv in Anderson, SC seeks an EHS & Continuous Improvement Specialist to lead on-site environmental, health and safety programs in a lab/testing setting. You will drive hazard reduction, regulatory compliance, incident prevention and corrective actions with hands-on ownership.

You will coordinate trainings, perform risk assessments, investigations and kaizen-led improvements; partner with engineering, facilities and operations to sustain safety and drive continuous improvement across quality,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in safety/health/engineering environments.
• 3–5 years of relevant EHS, engineering, manufacturing or lab/testing operations experience.
• Working knowledge of OSHA requirements; NFPA 70E familiarity preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to move from hazard identification to practical execution and sustained closure.
• Experience with incident investigations, root-cause analysis, risk assessment, EHS audits and training.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site EHS programs and hazard reduction in laboratories and testing areas.
• Conduct inspections, audits and risk assessments; implement controls.
• Own or coordinate corrective actions and verify closure.
• Lead investigations of injuries, near misses, and environmental events; perform root-cause analysis.
• Support high-risk work programs: electrical safety, lockout/tagout, machine guarding, etc.
• Participate in equipment reviews, tests and change management to reduce risk.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state/local/Vertiv requirements and required reports.
• Deliver EHS orientation and training; maintain safety records.
