Job summary

Vertiv Anderson facility seeks a Safety and EHS professional responsible for planning, implementing, and managing local EHS programs to maintain compliance and promote a culture of safety. You will guide the Pelzer Point management team in risk reduction, safety best practices, and continuous improvement toward zero injuries.

The role requires coordinating training, maintaining SDS, JSA, injury logs, conducting audits, and partnering with the EHS leader to address facility risks and regulatory

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in manufacturing, construction, or warehouse operations.
• Familiar with rigging and loading for construction activities.
• Strong organizational and research skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to influence management.
• Proficiency with Smartsheet, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Establish, maintain, and promote safety as a Vertiv core value.
• Identify and prioritize EHS initiatives in support of business needs.
• Coordinate EHS training for employees.
• Maintain site safety records (SDS, JSA, Ergonomic Assessments).
• Maintain incident and injury records per OSHA and Vertiv.
• Some travel may be required for training and cross-facility inspections and audits.
• Perform safety/environmental/housekeeping walkthroughs.
• Maintain data collection and reporting systems for EHS metrics and KPIs.
• Coordinate EHS metrics with the Vertiv Operating System (VOS).
• Ensure new equipment/workstations comply with safety/regulatory requirements.
• Advise the EHS leader on facility risks, incidents, actions, programs, policies.
• Measure and monitor environmental impacts per policy and regulations.
• Establish, monitor, enforce, and improve EHS systems and procedures to reduce risk with the goal of zero injuries.
• Conduct safety audits and hazard assessments.
• Assist employee safety committee and safety programs.
• Assist incident investigations to determine root causes and corrective actions.
• Support Emergency and Crisis Management and local MERT.
• Audit with facility contractors and ensure guidelines are understood.
• Normal work week is day shift Monday-Friday, but some after-hours and weekend work may be required.
