Job summary

Vertiv Anderson facility seeks an EHS professional to plan, implement, and manage local Environmental, Health, and Safety programs to maintain compliance and promote a culture of safety. You will lead risk reduction, safety best practices, and continuous improvements toward zero injuries.

The role requires coordinating with Training and Development, maintaining records, and ensuring OSHA and Vertiv standards. Some travel and after-hours work may be needed.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in manufacturing, construction, or warehouse operations.
• Familiarity with construction activities including rigging and loading.
• Strong organizational and research skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with all levels of management and staff.
• Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills to integrate safe behaviors.
• Familiarity with Smartsheet, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Establish, maintain, and promote safety as a Vertiv core value and drive a positive safety culture.
• Identify and prioritize EHS initiatives in support of business needs.
• Coordinate EHS training with Learning and Development teams.
• Maintain safety records such as SDS, JSA, and ergonomic assessments.
• Maintain incident and injury records per OSHA and Vertiv requirements.
• Some travel may be required for training and cross-facility inspections and audits.
• Conduct safety/environmental/housekeeping facility walkthroughs regularly.
• Maintain data collection and reporting systems for EHS metrics and KPIs.
• Coordinate EHS metrics with the Vertiv Operating System (VOS).
• Ensure new equipment and lines comply with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Advise the EHS leader on facility risks, incidents, and policies.
• Measure environmental impacts per Vertiv policy and regulations.
• Establish, monitor, enforce, and improve EHS programs to reduce risk to zero injuries.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and hazard assessments.
• Maintain employee safety committees and promotional activities.
• Assist in incident investigations to determine root causes and actions.
• Support Emergency and Crisis Management and local MERT.
• Audit contractor work on-site and ensure guidelines are understood.
• Typical workweek is Monday–Friday; some after-hours and weekend work may be required.
