Job summary

FLVS is seeking an Instructor for the Florida Scholars Academy in Okeechobee, FL. The role focuses on remediation, acceleration, and academic growth of at-risk students within residential facilities, reporting to Florida Scholars Academy leadership.

The position requires a bachelor's degree and a Florida teaching certificate, with ESE and ESOL endorsements preferred. The Instructor will plan engaging lessons, manage classrooms, maintain records, and collaborate with colleagues while supporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university is required.
• Valid Florida Professional Teaching Certificate or active enrollment in a state-approved EPI/MAT program with eligibility for a certificate.
• ESE certification is preferred; ESOL/Reading endorsements are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement engaging instruction for assigned subjects in residential facilities.
• Maintain attendance records, grading, and efficient record-keeping procedures.
• Collaborate with supervisor and peers to enhance instruction and participate in professional learning communities.
• Deliver instruction both on-site and through blended learning models as required.
