Job summary

Florida Virtual School in Greenville, FL seeks an Instructor for the Florida Scholars Academy (On-Site) to support at-risk students in residential facilities across the state. The role emphasizes remediation, acceleration, and academic growth under state policies and DJJ supervision.

You will plan and deliver engaging instruction, manage classrooms, and collaborate with colleagues to meet school-wide goals, reporting progress to families and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Florida Teaching Certificate with content area or active EPI/MAT enrollment and eligibility.
• ESE Certification, Gifted/ESOL/Reading endorsements preferred.
• Experience teaching in subject area or FLVS instructional internship program.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and implement engaging instructional activities in assigned subject(s).
• Supervise students and maintain attendance records.
• Maintain records and manage classroom behavior.
• Collaborate with supervisor and peers to enhance instructional environment.
• Communicate with students, parents/guardians, and stakeholders within timelines.
• Deliver instruction in-person at assigned facility under DJJ supervision.
