Job summary

DCI Donor Services in Knoxville, TN seeks a Donor Specialist to support families with empathy and clear communication while coordinating the donation process with medical teams. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, accuracy in medical information entry, and the ability to handle difficult conversations respectfully.

The ideal candidate holds a two-year health-related degree (or nursing/paramedic/EMT cert) and at least one year in a healthcare setting; CTBS/RN/LPN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in a health-related field or nursing/paramedic/EMT certification.
• At least 1 year in a health-care role with medical terminology experience.
• CTBS, RN, or LPN certification is preferred.
• Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to exercise independent judgement and multitask.

Responsibilities

• Effectively captures medical information accurately into donor management software.
• Facilitates the donation process through coordination with donor families and medical personnel.
• Supports families of potential donors with empathy, communicating the gift of donation.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
