Job summary

RHA Health Services, LLC is seeking a Direct Support Supervisor to oversee two or more staff in our residential homes. The role involves interviewing, hiring recommendations, and training, plus planning, directing, and reviewing team performance.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED (or health field degree), at least one year in developmental or intellectual disability settings, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate Degree in a health-related area, or two years’ experience in a health-related field preferred.
• One year of experience working with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
• Flexible schedule and availability for on-call coverage.
• Provide CPR after certification.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Valid driver’s license.
• CPR, first aid, NCI and/or MedTech certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manages residential homes/facilities as assigned.
• Supervises and coordinates activities of Direct Support Employees.
• Works assigned time in the residential home/facility.
• Resolve employee issues and conduct performance reviews.
• Ensure employees meet training requirements and attend required events.
• Provide after-hours and on-call coverage as part of the direct care rotation.
• Monitor and provide feedback to employees in interactions with people supported.
• Ensure the living environment is clean and well maintained.
• Help implement services and supports per Individual Support Plan.
• Carry out responsibilities of a Direct Support Professional.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
