Job summary

Ifas Llc in Charleston, South Carolina, is seeking a Desktop Support Specialist I to provide hands-on end-user support, troubleshoot Windows desktops, printers, and software, and install and configure IT equipment for a DoS environment.

You will document solutions, work with contractors and government personnel, and help maintain secure workstation operations while meeting deadlines and following procedures. All contractors must successfully obtain a Secret security clearance.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in IT or business-related field preferred.
• Three years of experience supporting Microsoft desktop OS, Office, and Outlook.
• Experience with computer network installation, operation, and maintenance.
• Experience providing user support and troubleshooting.
• Education and certifications may substitute for years of education.
• Must be eligible to receive Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide Helpdesk PC and printer support.
• Provide end-user support and troubleshoot desktop, software, peripheral, and basic connectivity issues.
• Document solutions to customer issues and service requests.
• Evaluate existing desktop systems and printers to determine repair or replacement needs.
• Install and configure new IT equipment.
• Support Windows OS and Office applications including Outlook.
• Assist with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of approved software and peripheral devices.
• Support basic computer network installation, operation, and maintenance.
• Analyze existing software and provide recommendations for new or replacement applications.
• Maintain documentation and follow departmental procedures, security requirements, and standards.
• Collaborate with contractors and government personnel to resolve issues and support objectives.
• Manage tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines.
