Job summary

Axiom Technologies provides on-site IT support services and is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer in Savoy, IL. The role involves hands-on provision of desktop and laptop support for enterprise clients at their site locations and requires reliable, technically skilled individuals.

You will respond to service requests, troubleshoot Windows systems and peripherals, and assist with network connectivity and hardware installations. Immediate start for an independent contractor with variable hours.

Qualifications

Experience supporting Windows desktops and laptops.
Strong hardware and peripheral troubleshooting skills.
Basic LAN networking understanding.

Ability to work independently on site.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site desktop and IT support for end users at the client location.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
Install, configure, and maintain hardware, operating systems, and enterprise software applications.
Support network connectivity issues, including LAN troubleshooting.
Assist with device setup, replacement, and hardware installations.
Perform basic network troubleshooting using console access when required.
Document service activities and communicate updates to the service delivery team.
Follow client IT policies and security procedures while performing onsite tasks.
