Job summary

GEO Corrections & Detentions in Michigan seeks a licensed dentist to provide and supervise comprehensive dental care for facility detainees. This is a 1099 contractor role, on-site with a flexible schedule of 40 hours or 20 hours weekly. You will evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, perform routine procedures, maintain health records, and collaborate with the facility medical team to ensure high-quality care and compliance with health care standards.

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school.
• Licensed to practice as a dentist in the state where the facility is located.
• Professional license must remain on file at the facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide and supervise complete dental care for detainees.
• Develop treatment plans and coordinate prostheses with external labs.
• Perform routine procedures: cleanings, fillings, extractions per standards.
• Maintain health records and use EHR system.
• Provide staff training and supervise clinical staff.
• Maintain confidentiality and coordinate with medical team.
