Job summary

E2 Consulting Engineers, LP is seeking a Data Entry Clerk to support a utility client in a dynamic, on-site role in Springfield, VA. You will scan, index, and archive documentation to be stored in the Client's repository and work independently with the team to meet deadlines.

The position requires attention to detail, intermediate MS Office skills, and a professional demeanor. Local candidates only; background checks may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Data entry experience or related office experience.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must be detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Intermediate computer experience and aptitude.
• Intermediate experience in Excel, Word, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and prepare source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information received from project administrators.
• Resolve questions and errors by using standard procedures to work with team leaders on incomplete documents for resolution.
• Establish entry priorities.
• Ability to prioritize work based on Client deadlines and compliance dates.
• Digitize field documentation by means of a scanner.
• Perform data entry of information transcribed on the field documentation.
• Upload/archive field documentation into Client systems.
• Perform indexing of the data on the field documentation for ease of lookup and file searches.
• Retrieve and/or deliver documentation from nearby Client offices as requested.
• Verify entered data is correct through downloads and excel spreadsheets and make any corrections if necessary.
