Job summary

Indigo Beam Consulting is seeking a Data Center Technician (Level 1/2) to support our Houston data center. The role involves on-site ownership of hardware, servers, storage, and network equipment, including monitoring, troubleshooting, installation, and ongoing maintenance.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in data center environments, strong TCP/IP knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-critical setting.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent IT experience.
• 2+ years of data center experience.
• Experience with server hardware and networking.
• Familiar with TCP/IP and fiber cabling.
• ITIL familiarity and ticketing systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for data center infrastructure.
• Monitor data center systems, equipment, and environmental conditions.
• Maintain incident tickets and service records; respond to alerts within SLAs.
• Assist with rack, stack, installation, and decommissioning of hardware.
• Update network diagrams, asset records, and documentation.
