Job summary

Objective Partners is seeking a hands-on Data Center Technician to support our Dallas data center. You will handle day-to-day physical infrastructure tasks including rack and stack, cabling, hardware installation, and remote-hands support.

The role requires 2+ years of experience, strong troubleshooting, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with copper/fiber cabling and basic network concepts is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years in data center or infrastructure support.
  • Strong rack-and-stack experience.
  • Experience installing and troubleshooting server hardware.
  • Copper and fiber cabling experience.
  • Basic networking knowledge: switches, ports, patch panels.
  • Experience with hardware break/fix and component replacement.
  • Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently in an onsite data center.

Responsibilities

  • Rack, stack, install, move, and decommission servers and network equipment
  • Perform hardware break/fix and component replacement
  • Run, patch, trace, and troubleshoot copper and fiber cabling
  • Support server and network equipment deployments
  • Provide remote-hands support to infrastructure and engineering teams
  • Troubleshoot physical connectivity and hardware issues
  • Maintain accurate inventory, rack, cabling, and work documentation
  • Follow established change, escalation, and data center procedures
  • Assist with maintenance windows and after-hours work as needed
