Job summary

Reboot Monkey is seeking an experienced Data Center Technician to support on-site, contract-based projects in Ottoville, OH. You will handle hardware installs, decommissions, migrations, and structured cabling across copper and fiber with attention to detail and safety.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in data centers, server hardware familiarity (Dell/HP/Supermicro), and strong communication in English. Some certifications and DCIM/ticketing exposure are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years data center or IT infrastructure experience.
• Strong cabling skills including Cat5e/6/6a and fiber.
• Experience with server hardware from major vendors.
• Professional communication in English; on-site work.
• Familiarity with DCIM and ticketing systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations.
• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Rack, stack and label servers and equipment.
• Do cross-connects and patch panel work.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues.
• Document work with photos and detailed notes.
• Coordinate with remote NOC and client teams.
• Lift 50+ lbs and work on-site in raised floor environments.
