Job summary

Reboot Monkey in Youngstown is seeking an experienced Data Center Technician for a full-time, on-site role. You will support mission-critical infrastructure, perform hardware installations, cabling, server racking, and issue resolution.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in data center or IT infrastructure, solid cabling expertise, and familiarity with major server hardware. On-site work is required with standard hours and on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years data center or IT infrastructure experience.
• Strong cabling skills (Cat5e/6/6a, single-mode/multi-mode fiber).
• Experience with server hardware (Dell, HP, Supermicro).
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in raised floor environments.
• Professional communication skills in English.
• Data center certifications (CDCP, CDCS, or similar) - preferred
• Network certifications (CCNA, CompTIA Network+) - preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations.
• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Conduct server racking, stacking, and labeling.
• Perform cross-connects and patch panel work.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues.
• Document all work with photos and detailed notes.
• Coordinate with remote NOC and client teams.
