Job summary

Reboot Monkey is seeking an experienced Data Center Technician for an on-site role in Stamford, CT. You’ll install, migrate, and decommission hardware, manage structured cabling, and rack servers in a mission-critical data center environment.

You will document work with photos and notes, coordinate with NOC and client teams, and participate in on-call rotations. The ideal candidate brings 2+ years in data centers, strong cabling skills, and experience with Dell/HP/Supermicro servers.

Qualifications

• 2+ years data center or IT infrastructure experience.
• Strong cabling skills (Cat5e/6/6a, single-mode/multi-mode fiber).
• Experience with server hardware (Dell, HP, Supermicro).
• Professional communication skills in English.
• Own transportation and ability to work on-site.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations.
• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Conduct server racking, stacking, and labeling.
• Perform cross-connects and patch panel work.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues.
• Document all work with photos and detailed notes.
• Coordinate with remote NOC and client teams.
