Job summary

Reboot Monkey in Boise is seeking an experienced Data Center Technician for on-site freelance work at premier facilities. You will install, decommission, and migrate hardware, manage structured cabling, rack and label servers, and coordinate with remote NOC and clients.

Applicants should have 2+ years of data center or IT infra experience, strong cabling skills, familiarity with Dell/HP/Supermicro hardware, the ability to lift 50+ lbs, and professional English communication.

Qualifications

• 2+ years data center or IT infra experience.
• Strong cabling skills (Cat5e/6/6a, fiber) and server hardware exposure.
• Professional communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations.
• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Conduct server racking, stacking, and labeling.
• Perform cross-connects and patch panel work.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues.
• Document all work with photos and detailed notes.
• Coordinate with remote NOC and client teams.
