Job summary

Reboot Monkey seeks an experienced Data Center Technician for on-site freelance work in Bozeman, Montana. You will support mission-critical infrastructure at premier data center facilities and coordinate with client teams.

The role requires 2+ years in data center or IT infrastructure, hands-on cabling, server hardware experience (Dell, HP, Supermicro), and strong English communication.

On-site availability, ability to lift 50 lbs, and familiarity with DCIM or ticketing systems are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years data center or IT infrastructure experience.
• Experience with Dell, HP, Supermicro servers.
• Strong cabling skills: Cat5e/6/6a and fiber.
• On-site, Bozeman-based, ability to lift 50+ lbs.
• Professional English communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations.
• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber).
• Rack, stack, and label servers.
• Perform cross-connects and patch panel work.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues.
• Document work with photos and notes.
• Coordinate with remote NOC and client teams.
