Job summary

Reboot Monkey is seeking an experienced Data Center Technician for a contract/ freelance on-site role in Billings, United States. You will support mission-critical infrastructure at premier data center facilities, performing installations, migrations, cabling, racking, and issue resolution.

Candidates should have 2+ years of data center or IT infrastructure experience, strong cabling skills, and familiarity with server hardware (Dell, HP, Supermicro).

Qualifications

• 2+ years data center or IT infrastructure experience.
• Strong cabling skills (Cat5e/6/6a, fiber).
• Experience with server hardware (Dell, HP, Supermicro).
• Professional communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations.
• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Conduct server racking, stacking, and labeling.
• Perform cross-connects and patch panel work.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues.
• Document all work with photos and detailed notes.
• Coordinate with remote NOC and client teams.
• Possess 50+ lbs lifting ability and work in raised floor environments.
• Familiarity with DCIM and ticketing systems.
