Job summary

Service Robot Co. in Lubbock, TX seeks installers to set up and maintain data-center hardware on-site, working with remote engineers. This contract role pays per work order or shift and includes paid first assignment and remote support.

You will install servers, cabling, replace components, run tests, and follow maintenance schedules. Training through Service Robot Co. Academy is provided, with certifications earned during the program.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT support, cabling, AV, electronics repair, or building computers.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and keep accurate records.
• Comfort working independently and communicating with remote engineers.
• Availability for overnight maintenance work.
• Comfort working on your feet in cold, noisy rooms with hearing protection.
• Ability to pass a background check and site security screening.

Responsibilities

• Install, cable, and label servers, switches, and storage equipment.
• Replace drives, memory, power supplies, fans, and optical components.
• Test repairs before closing work tickets.
• Run, terminate, and test copper and fiber cabling.
• Follow diagrams, work instructions, and approved maintenance schedules.
• Give remote engineers clear updates on what you see and do.
• Record equipment serial numbers, connections, and locations.
• Follow site security procedures when removing or disposing of hardware.
