Job summary

Service Robot Co. in San Antonio, Texas is seeking a hands-on field installer to install and maintain hardware inside data centers. You will collaborate with remote engineers to complete physical tasks such as installing servers, running cables, and replacing failed parts.

This on-site contract role is paid per work order or shift, with training through the Service Robot Co. Academy and industry certifications provided for selected candidates.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT support, cabling, AV, electronics repair, or building computers.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and keep accurate records.
• Comfort working independently and communicating with remote engineers.
• Willingness to perform overnight maintenance work.

Responsibilities

• Install, cable, and label servers, switches, and storage equipment.
• Replace drives, memory, power supplies, fans, and optical components.
• Test repairs before closing work tickets.
• Run, terminate, and test copper and fiber cabling.
• Follow diagrams, work instructions, and approved maintenance schedules.
• Give remote engineers clear updates on what you see and do.
• Record equipment serial numbers, connections, and locations.
• Follow site security procedures when removing or disposing of hardware.
