Trace3 is seeking a Data Center Engineer to provide advanced technical support for client servers, storage, and networking hardware, onsite at customer sites in a 100% on-site role. You will lead escalations, perform root cause analysis, plan remediation steps, and coordinate with clients, partners, and backline support to drive resolution.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering/IT/CS.
• 4+ years leading technical root cause analyses and bespoke resolution plans for server/storage/network hardware.
• CompTIA and Linux certifications or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong troubleshooting and attention to detail.
• Experience with online productivity tools (ConnectWise, WebEx, ServiceNow).
• Customer-focused and able to work under aggressive timelines.

Aufgaben

• Analyze tier-two service requests for HP, Dell, Lenovo, and Supermicro servers and related storage/networking devices.
• Consult with clients to assess requirements, diagnose failures, and develop remediation plans and next steps.
• Plan and execute hardware maintenance and component replacements with coordination and validation.
• Troubleshoot and replace server hardware components and related parts.
• Configure platform-level management (iLO/iDRAC/XCC/BMC), credentials, firmware and basic hardware settings.
• Maintain onsite spare parts inventory and coordinate replenishments.
• Process RMA returns and track items to completion.
• Lead customer phone and remote-support sessions to gather details and drive resolutions.
• Document diagnostic findings, actions, and as-built configurations.
• Develop technical knowledge articles and support policies.
• Support special projects including new device installations and decommissions.
