Job summary

Trace3 in Reno, NV is seeking a Data Center Technician to support data center operations and provide on-site and remote-hand services to customers.

The role requires at least two years of technical or data center experience, an understanding of the OSI model, and fluent English; CompTIA A+ or BICSI certification is preferred. Travel is available, and Trace3 offers comprehensive medical, retirement, training, and a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• A minimum of two years of experience in a technical or data center support role.
• Independently research Internet technologies (firewall/router/switch/VPN/DNS/Proxy).
• Good understanding of the OSI model.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Must have a strong attention to detail.
• Some Travel is available.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operations of data center and execute projects.
• Install, terminate, test, and label cross connects (copper and fiber) per SOPs.
• Configure OOB management interfaces for remote access.
• Test and validate remote accessibility to customer systems.
• Monitor and perform maintenance on servers and network equipment.
• Create and maintain service desk documentation.
