Job summary

BCMC is seeking a Cyber Shift Incident Manager to support a U.S. Government client onsite in Arlington, VA. The role focuses on incident response, detection, and restoration activities, with on-site duties during Shift 2 (M-F, 1400–2200).

You will correlate incidents, advise on defense-in-depth, triage events, research remediation steps, and document the lifecycle of each incident while coordinating with internal teams to protect critical assets.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance are required.
• Minimum 2+ years in cyber incident management or cybersecurity operations.
• Experience with incident response and handling methodologies.
• Familiarity with NIST 800-62 and FISMA reporting requirements.
• Knowledge of NCCIC National Cyber Incident Scoring System for triage.
• Understanding of attack stages and vulnerability types.

Responsibilities

• Correlate incident data to identify trends.
• Recommend defense in depth practices.
• Perform CND incident triage to assess scope and impact.
• Research and compile known resolution steps for mitigation.
• Apply cybersecurity concepts to detect intrusions and analyze logs.
• Monitor external data sources to maintain threat condition currency.
• Document incidents from detection to resolution and coordinate with teams.
• Provide on-site support during Shift 2 (M-F 1400-2200).
